Wendy Dant Chesser

Better Indiana is proud to endorse Wendy Dant Chesser in her reelection bid for Indiana House District 71.

Born and raised in Jeffersonville, Wendy joined the O’Bannon/Kernan Administration shortly after graduating from Indiana University Southeast. After serving as the Executive Director of the Indiana Rural Development Council, Wendy ultimately became the President and CEO of One Southern Indiana (1si), where she has worked alongside community advocates to create upwards of 10,000 good-paying jobs across Southern Indiana.

Following the retirement of longtime State Representative Rita Fleming, Wendy was unanimously selected to fill the vacancy in May and later nominated for the general election in November. An experienced professional, Wendy knows what it takes to create new jobs and foster economic growth. If elected, she will bring a respected, knowledgable voice back to the Statehouse.
