Suzanne Fortenberry

Better Indiana is proud to endorse Suzanne Fortenberry for Indiana Senate District 36.

Born on her family’s farm, Suzanne has been a resident of Johnson County for the past 22 years. In addition to working as a courier at FedEx, Suzanne spends much of her time organizing community outreach programs and fundraising for various charitable causes, including Sheltering Wings, Firefly Children and Family Alliance, and Greenwood Pride. In 2022, with the assistance of several community partners, Suzanne led a grassroots initiative to fund Every Kid Eats, an effort that raised over $20,000 to feed struggling families in Johnson County.

If elected, Suzanne promises to advocate for vulnerable Hoosier children and families. Among her priorities, she will fight to provide free, healthy meal options for all Indiana students and will work to make higher education accessible to all. Most importantly, Suzanne believes that elected officials should represent the interests of the community they serve, not just a select few.
