Maureen Bauer

Better Indiana is proud to endorse Maureen Bauer for Indiana House District 6.

The daughter of two former South Bend public school teachers, Maureen was born and raised in a family that understands the importance of quality public education. It is this same family environment that taught Maureen the value of public service, helping others, and working to improve one’s community.

Since her election in November 2020, Maureen has served two terms as State Representative for Indiana House District 6. In that time, she has co-authored and co-sponsored countless bipartisan pieces of legislation that were signed into law, including bills improving firefighters’ access to healthcare, expanding access to affordable housing, and protecting children participating in athletics. If reelected, Maureen is committed to continue improving Hoosiers’ access to affordable health insurance, improving maternal health outcomes, preserving natural resources, investing in public education, and reducing food insecurity through an expanded school breakfast and lunch program.
