A proud father, husband, and Hoosier, Joel grew up in Central Indiana and studied at Anderson University. A pharmacy technician by trade, Joel is a passionate advocate for healthcare and child safety. Today, he is running for Indiana State Senate, motivated by a desire to build a better Indiana for generations to come.

“Better Indiana has an incredible vision for supporting candidates that are working for a progressive and inclusive state. I am honored to be one of those endorsed candidates,” he told us.

Joel believes that guaranteeing children the life they deserve starts with ensuring that our kids feel safe at school. If elected, Joel will fight for universal background checks on private gun sales and will champion common sense public safety reforms that keep Hoosiers safe. Alongside his wife, Megan, who works as a nurse practioner at Community Health, Joel knows that it is crucial to trust and support women to make their own healthcare decisions, which is why he will vote to restore reproductive rights in the Indiana State Senate.
