Heidi Beidinger

Better Indiana is proud to endorse Heidi Beidinger for Indiana House District 5. Appointed by Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Heidi served as the President of the St. Joseph County Board of Health for over seven years. During that time, she worked tirelessly to expand access to affordable healthcare and keep kids safe from lead poisoning. Today, Heidi remains a noted community partner and a respected professor at the University of Notre Dame.

As an educator, Heidi believes that Hoosier parents deserve the freedom to provide their children with a quality education that meets students’ individual needs. If elected, Heidi will fight to guarantee that Hoosier children receive a top-notch education, one that ensures they can read what they want and that empowers teachers to inspire a curious and engaged classroom.
